We are working on poetry with my writing groups. Here is what we came up with today as it was snowing like crazy outside!!
If today was a snowday I would get more sleep,
If today was a snowday the students wouldn't make a peep!
If today was a snowday I'd read a book,
If today was a snowday I would email Mrs. Hook!

Katie! That is the best poem ever invented! I am so sad that I didn't get to do my poetry unit w/ my kids this year:( - but being mentioned in a poem is almost as good. "Hook" is a great rhyming word (much better than Vaughn ever was) :). Thanks for sharing!
This has nothing to do with your post, well it kind of does, it is a rhyme. You know the song "Do you know the muffin man..." I came up with a Nicole & Katie version that is sure to make you smile. "Do you know the cookie man, the cookie man, the cookie man? Do you know the cookie man, who is kind of lame?" Can you tell I am procrastinating? Anyways, I say you let him down like a ton of bricks, it will be theraputic :)
